Have your plumbers use up the gas as best as possible. We use Prosolv product for propane cylinders that are RCRA empty. Here is a link:

Does anyone have any information on disposing empty propane cylinders (blowtorch or outdoor grill style, not commercial)? Our waste vendor charged us a lot to dispose of them and I'm thinking there has got to be a better way. Is it legal to burn off the gas and dispose of them with normal trash?
