Hi,
We have a solution containing 1% sodium cyanide in DI-water, dimethyl sulfoxide and acetone. My hazardous waste vendor feels this 1 gallon container needs to be packed alone and shipped alone in a separate truck because we also have acidic hazardous waste to be shipped. With that being said, my questions for your thoughts are:
1. Does this need to be shipped alone on a separate truck vs. with other hazardous (acidic) wastes?
2. At this concentration, can it be shipped using the PG III PSN?
3. If so, can this 1 gallon container be lab-packed together with other toxic hazardous wastes?
4. If this must be packed alone in a separate container, wasn’t there a DOT-exemption that permitted cyanides and acidic to be shipped together. Anyone know which exemption it was?
Thank you in advance for your input, I appreciate it.
