These awards are intended to recognize and encourage outstanding students who are pursuing a career in an environmental field. Awards will be made on the basis of academic record, leadership in academics, leadership in the community or the profession, and future academic and career potential without consideration of sex, race, national origin, financial need, age, or physical disability.
Awards: Two $500 awards will be given each year.
Application: Applications must be received by Chris Enright, Nassau Community College, Environmental Health & Safety, One Education Drive, 353 Harmon Avenue; 2nd Floor, Garden City, NY 11530, or e-mailed to Chris.Enright@ncc.edu by the application deadline. Applications must be postmarked or submitted via email no later than April 1st of each year. Please include one letter of recommendation from a professor or an environmental health and safety professional and an unofficial transcript from the college or university. Winners of the award will be notified by the end of April 30th each year.
